Registered EU Trademark

The name GRA, the GRA logo, and the designation GRA – Gemological Research Association are registered trademarks of HeiDoc V.O.F. in the European Union. The trademark is registered with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

Scope of Protection

The GRA trademark covers, among other things, gemological grading and certification services, the issuance of gemological reports, and related digital and printed materials. The trademark protection extends to the GRA name, the GRA logo, and any confusingly similar signs used in connection with gemological services within the European Union.

Authorised Use

Only HeiDoc V.O.F. and parties expressly authorised in writing by HeiDoc V.O.F. may use the GRA name and logo in connection with gemological grading reports or related services. Authorised vendors who have entered into a licensing agreement with GRA are permitted to issue GRA-branded certificates exclusively through the official GRA vendor portal and in accordance with the applicable vendor agreement.

Prohibited Uses

The following uses of the GRA trademark are strictly prohibited without prior written authorisation:

• Issuing, reproducing, or distributing documents that bear the GRA name or logo without a valid vendor licence;
• Using the GRA name or logo on any website, marketing material, or product packaging in a manner that suggests an official affiliation with or endorsement by GRA;
• Registering domain names, social media handles, or business names that incorporate "GRA", "GRAcert", or any confusingly similar designation;
• Creating counterfeit or fraudulent GRA certificates or altering genuine GRA certificates.

Enforcement

HeiDoc V.O.F. actively monitors the market for unauthorised use of the GRA trademark. Infringement of the GRA trademark constitutes a violation of EU Regulation 2017/1001 on the European Union trade mark and may result in civil enforcement proceedings, including injunctions, claims for damages, and recovery of legal costs.
